Is it possible to know too much? Is there a point at which additional information becomes harmful instead of helpful? Many of us were brought up thinking that knowledge is power; and that, to continue to attain new knowledge, new information, is to expand our horizons and open doors to incredible opportunity. Although I believe that such a statement stands firm initially, I also believe that there is a line. When we cross this line, information becomes not only useless, but also a burden on the back of our spiritual awakening.
Through in depth observations of the way the world moves, one will come to know the greatest secrets of the universe. Ask yourself, how are we actually able to move from point A to point B? What happens in the body and beyond in actions as simple as walking down the street?
We must realize that every person on some level is broken. This is one of the most profound realizations which we will ever have the painful pleasure of knowing. In this world, nothing feels whole. Nothing is as we wish it would be; and if you think otherwise, you're either completely realized or completely blinded by wrong knowledge. We struggle to be our authentic selves in a world where nothing seems to be quite right. Sometimes this feeling is covered up by external excitement. Sometimes we forget out broken nature, both individually and as a whole. This is the first truth the ancient prophets tell us about our existence on Earth.
With respect to the mind, one who looks hard enough can see a great deal of madness. Many systems of philosophy, both Eastern and Western, agree that the mind is the instrument through which we are able perceive all of creation. In the same way, we can say that our relative reality is both experience with, and created by, the mind.
My brother and I haven’t always gotten along .. likely because I used to live a life clouded by ignorance .. But recently, we’ve grown quite close, and I realize now that he has some intelligent ideas up in that mind of his.
